For the experienced DAAPers, where is the best/least expensive place to purchase art supplies in Cincinnati? Plaza or the DAAP Store. We checked out Plaza when we were in Cincinnati for orientation, but don’t know how their prices compare to the DAAP store. Any suggestions? I know both of them carry the kits.
Does everyone have to buy a studio chair? I expected to buy are supplies and equipment, but not a chair! We are also OOS so want to keep stuff to a minimum.
Well, for Interior Design and Architecture, they had to bring their own studio chairs, and we didn’t find that out until the first week of classes. That’s why I said Amazon Prime is your friend. I know that your daughter is in Industrial Design, and I’m not sure how they handle it, but a quick question to her advisor would easily answer your question. Also, my daughter pick up her initial Art Supply Kit from the DAAP Store, but has visited Plaza for supplies on several occasions throughout her Freshman year. I’d have to assume the prices are comparable, however.
Thanks @Balthezar. I have sent a message to her advisor. Maybe @daapmom knows the answer since her D is in Industrial Design.
my daughter bought her art kit at the DAAP art store. if she needed other items she would order them online and have them delivered to her dorm. she went thru lots and lots of paper in her drawing class first semester.
oh…and since you are from out of state, like we are…fall reading days = no classes. if we knew that ahead of time we would have flown her home for a long weekend. so you might want to look into that. ID does not have to purchase a chair.
