I've been looking into the Ailey/Fordham program and am very interested. However I want to major in Communications, is double majoring allowed for Dance BFA students? If not, do non-dance major students still get the opportunity to take classes, as well as participate in performances?

This is a good example of the type of question that can be answered best by talking to Fordham. Email or call the department. If you don’t know what department, call the main Fordham number and ask whom you should talk to about your issue. They are there to help, and are the ones with the answers.

When I visited Fordham this past spring, they did mention a dance major who double majored in something else (I can’t recall what it was), but double majoring is definitely do-able! Conversely, if you are a non-dance major, you have the ability to take only four non-major dance courses during your time at Fordham.
