Dance Scholarships

Hello,
My daughter is very interested in St. Olaf. Although she is primarily interested in biology, she is also interested in the dance program. St. Olaf offers dance scholarships to non-majors, and we are considering going through the audition/application process. After looking at their financial aid FAQ, it appears that a dance scholarship would replace need based aid, not stack. Does it make sense to apply for a dance scholarship if you are not a full pay (or nearly) applicant?

Since St. Olaf meets 100% of demonstrated need, you would not get $6000 above your demonstrated need. You aren’t going to be making money on the scholarship. That is what they are saying.
