dang what would you do?

I'm pro choice as well...
but ANYWAYS, I do agree with the fact that you should think before you stick (for us guys anyways :D).
IF you just have to...use double...but still...god sake, control whats in you pants...no many people can...its why that stupid governor got in trouble.
Some people really can't keep their pants zipped, and even though it may be a ton of fun...you should be able to control it.

it seems like a lot of the guys on here are pro choice.

Paternity test is the way to go... but until then just try to be supportive.

In my post, I meant abortions are against my morals :) But I'm still pro-choice.

^Same here...but you all need to realize that abortion was never intended as birth control, which is what some of you are suggesting. It was intended for situations where the mother is either in physical danger if she carries to term or circumstances beyond her control (rape, sexual abuse etc.).

^That may be what it was intended for, but sometimes it's still the best option for the parents in other situations, including when they're too young.

Ultimately, though, it's at your discretion, OP. If this is not a hypothetical situation...Are you sure the child is yours? How well do you know her (aka year-long relationship vs one-night stand)? Have you talked about this before with her, and if so (you should have!), what was agreed upon? How would her and your parents feel? Is abortion the best thing for both of your lives now? If not, for whatever reason, can your parents or her parents care for the child while you two are still in school? What about adoption?

It's a serious issue requiring more thought than a lot of these responses seem to give it credit for.

^I don't want to turn this into an abortion debate, though I'd be happy to start another topic on the subject. :)

I'll just end with this little tidbit: it's not the baby's fault that you couldn't keep it zipped. If you can't support it, put it up for adoption. There are lots of couples that will pay the medical expenses and then some for a healthy baby.

^^^
well if the girl didnt unzip the pants, perhaps it wouldnt have happened.

if you ask her to do a paternity she'll think that you think that she's a slut

and chances are if you're an ok guy, she's not promiscious and she is pregnant with your child.

You need to pay for half of the abortion

gekkuono obviously doesnt have a lot of adopted friends

jmarin, I wasn't trying to place the blame solely on the guy. Please don't put words in my mouth.

Im not, Im just following what you are implying

tell her she's got the wrong number... i'm a girl so i can't have helped her out there

I'd ask her what stage she's at. If she's already been to a doctor and it's confirmed I'd say you're ed. If she's taken the pee test and it's a + I'd say you're 98% *ed. If she's late by a day or two, tell her to calm the *** down and wait for her period. There are a ton of things to make a teenaged girl have a late period and stressing out about a pregnancy will only make it later, so she might not be pregnant. Either way I'd start packing my bags and heading for Canada.

It is not a life, "gekkouno." It's an unformed fetus that can't think or feel--which is how I, personally, define a life.

Venkat, I hope you're joking. You both had sex, and now you both have to deal with the possible repercussions--whether it be abortion, adoption, or fatherhood.

puhleez. juno?

so is it yours, J?

I was joking about the canada thing, but i've had friends get calls from girlfriends saying that they were late. it always turned out to be nothing, which is why you have to make sure the girl is actually preggers. and i'm 99% sure no high school aged guy wants or even thinks about having a child, hence why you're ****ed if she's pregnant.

Woah, intense abortion debate. You're all jumping the gun... The OP hasn't even confirmed that the girl in question is his girlfriend or if she's just a friend looking for advice. Until we know which situation he's in, we can't help him.

OP -- post back ASAP letting us know what the situation is. Promise not to push any beliefs on you.

How could you destroy an innocent life?

i had chicken for lunch :D

... and i sometimes wear nike brand shoes (slave labor > starvation > death)

open-mindedness ftw, gekkouno

If some random girl called and said she was pregnant, I wouldn't care too much. There are tons of teenage pregnancies in the world.
