Darley North??

I’m attending CU Boulder in the fall and housing assignments just came out but it seems like I’m at Darley North. To say in the very least I’m really really disappointed. I know that I applied for rooming in March so I would’t get my top picks but I didn’t expect to get stuck so far from the main campus. I wanted to join some type of FIG or RAP since I’m coming from out of state but when I called and I was told that all the other dorms were already filled up but I find it hard to believe that all those halls were at max capacity…
Anyways, I’m planning on requesting a room change but is North Darley really that bad if I am still stuck there? Any in-sight on what it’s like (pros/cons)? Also any tips for ensuring a room change?

Darley North is part of Williams Village. Its not that far, just south of campus, its on Baseline Road and you can walk and its a nice walk. This website makes it sound like you may be able to get onto a waitlist though if you want to be on campus your first year. I think though that Williams Village is a good location in Boulder and you could bring a bike or just take the bus when winter sets in.

There really are no bad locations in the city of Boulder. On campus, you would deal with the football game noise, and chaos. Its not a problem at all to live on Baseline Road, look at a map of Boulder and you will see how close it is.
