**Dartmouth 2014 Waitlist Thread**

mine is about a page, I will send out the package next wednesday
if there is no chance, I will go to U of Chicago

It’s Bowdoin for me if I don’t get off Dartmouth waitlist. How about you guys?

i included a personal letter to dartmouth, an update resume, and a recommendation via snail mail (:
i probably would have sent it via e-mail, but since i had that recommendation, i wanted to send all of it together . plus i didn’t really trust the school to send in this recommendation because it was supposed to be sent with my original application but it wasn’t  it’s my fault though, i should have followed up . but this time i stood there while it was put in the envelope and addressed ^^

D is on Dartmouth’s waitlist and actively pursuing it as well. Just out of curiosity, is anyone choosing to remain on other waitlists too in the event Dartmouth doesn’t pan out?

Does anyone know what the situation is like for Waitlist Financial Aid? Will our package be the same as what we would’ve been offered had we been accepted RD?

^ I was wondering the same thing :/

Does anyone know how many are on the waitlist?

So I’m mailing out my update/interest letter tomorrow? Is that like suicide … sending it in this late? It will probably get there Friday the latest.

^ Well, they said to send it in April, so it can’t be too late?

Light, are you going to send it US mail? Why not email? (Or is that breaching etiquette???). It would be faster.

@light: Actually, jc has a good point. Plus on it’s information for waitlisted candidates page ([Waitlisted Candidates](<a href=“Apply to Dartmouth | Dartmouth Admissions”>Apply to Dartmouth | Dartmouth Admissions)) Dartmouth says that “You may provide an update to your application via email to the Admissions Office at admissions.office@dartmouth.edu.”

The last few years Dartmouth has placed 1000 kids on the wait list. So send in your info then move on. Don’t get your hope up!

Did you guys email it or mail it?

I mailed most of my stuff (recommendation, letter of intent, update resume) by snail mail actually. The other rec plus grades were submitted via email.

I’ve been trying to contact Dartmouth to see if they received the mailed stuff, but both emails went unanswered. I think I’ll just give them a call… unless that’s something that they can’t check on for some reason?

^ Yeah, the first time I asked (about a week and a half ago) I got that, so I sat and waited. When I asked again I didn’t even get an automatic reply. Maybe they thought the question was “untenable”.

@light: I emailed, but then I’m an international.

@yoda if it makes you feel better, they haven’t responded to my e-mail yet either (:

Haha guess I’m not alone
Are you planning to call and ask?

Do they ever start admitting of the waitlist prior to mid-May?
