I have no idea if I was selected. I have all the tax forms and the federal verification worksheet on my portal and my dates changed but I’ve never been told I was selected?
@Milo2000 Okay thank you so much, that puts me at ease, I’m freaking out about this whole thing and needed that.
@Milo2000 we both need to take a breather (easier said than done). They emailed me to fix something on my FAFSA but I don’t know if that was linked to verification or the financial aid office wanted more information on me, they never mentioned verification. The whole thing is stressing me out.
Am I correct that we still haven’t seen anything from Dartmouth regarding numbers of ED applicants for class of 2023? The Duke thread was all a twitter about the fact that Duke’s superscoring of SAT/ACT has caused ED applications to skyrocket – with expected admit rate of around 16%-18% for ED. (Plus, if you factor in URM, legacy, Questbridge, and recruited athletes, seems like it would be much less for regular folks). I hope that is not the case with Dartmouth!
@Hopper2019 Indeed. Dartmouth releases Early Decision statistics a few days after decisions are released.
@YouTellMe – Guess it helps keep folks from becoming unduly stressed out if ED apps are up for a given year. It is very nice of them to think about our well-being!
@Hopper2019 True. A lot of Brown ED applicants are already stressed out after Brown revealed that ED applications rose over 20%, primarily due to eliminating loans as a form of financial aid.
Maybe there was a huge run on Dartmouth and Brown this year and absolutely nobody applied to Dartmouth
Maybe it’s the reason why the decisions are being released earlier than usual? We’re all in need of optimism.
Let’s pray for a decrease in D applications! I am surprised and happy they are releasing the decisions earlier.
Suddenly I am feeling much less agnostic
Yea… I was thinking of that
Something new popped up on S portal. Asking for amended tax returns but we don’t have any.
Does anyone have anything updated on their admissions portal since applying? I did not apply for FA and I have had no updates or anything since I applied. Even a score I sent as additional information doesn’t show (though it says additional information received). Is there anyway to see if there is any activity if you didn’t apply for aid?
@Windip – Same here for my D. Nothing changed. If you watch the acceptance video posted by Meyonnaise above, when it gets to Dartmouth, you can see a screenshot of the login, etc., and my sense is nothing will change until right when we can access the results, at which point a small box labeled “status updates” will appear between the address and application checklist sections on the portal.
May Wednesday come with ease my friends
Omg… Dates just changed for my financial aid… fingers crossed.
Which dates?
@Shocker7 Did you have any date changes on you financial aid materials on the applicant portal today? I have a hypothesis and your answer can help me create a reasonable conclusion.
What’s the hypothesis?
