Hey guys! For international students, I’m I the only one that was asked to take the duolingo english test?
I’ve been looking through the comments and haven’t seen any mention of it. Why did they even ask for it in the first place?
Quick question to everyone. Did Dartmouth request first quarter grades for all ED applicants? Just curious
@Tachanka11 Mine weren’t requested, but I sent them with my Nov 1 application. This student says their quarter grades were requested, but ultimately was rejected:

Best of luck! :)>-
If ED decisions come out the 12th, shouldn’t they have sent an email with that info my now? Or do you think its coming withing 24 hours?
Dartmouthadmissions on instagram replied to a student yesterday that they will send out an email with information regarding when ED decisions come out in “a few days”…so we shall seeee:)
@AudreyKang Hmm… The reason I asked is because everyone I know who applied(including myself) have either got their first quarter grades requested or have sent it in with their ED application. I just thought that maybe a Dartmouth thing. Regarding your link tho, that is kinda depressing. But to be honest, his or her score is pretty risky for basically any ivy or top tier schools. I don’t know man I am kinda scared now after reading that post.
Quick question… I keep reading about “hooked” and “unhooked” applicants. Is being Hispanic considered a “hook” at Dartmouth?
Never visited Dartmouth (cuz I was in DC for the whole summer due to an internship) but I knew it would be the perfect fit for me since I spent a lot of time talking to current students, and they would not stop raving about the school. Also, TBH the frat culture doesn’t bother me because I’m looking for a work hard/play hard kind of environment (plus the party culture wouldn’t really go away if I attended my state school lol). Also, I’m sure Dartmouth’s kids are ultra smart too… so it’s not like these guys are “meathead party bros” or whatever. It’ll be a balance of both worlds.
Dartmouth requires Q1 grades for all applicants. Also, I’m 99% sure the date change stuff on the portal means absolutely nothing. Dartmouth has been around for 200+ years… pretty sure they’re not gonna let vital admissions information slip that easily. Good luck everyone!
About the Q1 grades.
My counselor was told the Q1 deadline is Nov. 30.
But if it is required for all, why did Dartmouth not mention it in the website like peer recommendation and sat2
And I guess different applicants may have different deadline.
@Terrann They send a request of q1 grades to counselors, so you won’t even know sometimes if your counselor does not tell u.
The quarter grades requirement is included on the ED page of the admissions website.
Is it likely that the email will be sent out tomorrow about the official release time/date?
Last year they sent the email out two days before, so most likely. Two of my good friends got into Stanford on Friday, so I’m feeling a good level of optimism but I also really want to throw up
@Meiyonnaise youll probably get in because you went to TASP, assuming you have good stats!
Agreed. Admission to TASP is much more competitive than Dartmouth. I myself was accepted for SSP (Summer Science Program) for biochemistry but TASP is almost at the level of RSI.
Lmao you’re probably in too @rhine7567
Just wondering, did your dates change? This could be helpful for future applicants if we compared acceptance outcomes and date changes.
@dartmouth2023plz Yes, it did change on 12/7. How about you?
12/3 @rhine7567
