@dkahfdfhk Your other colleges are most likely still processing it. Check back periodically!
Thanks! @dairyqueen
Also, out of curiosity, have y’all received many emails from Dartmouth after submitting the app? Just wondering.
@dkahfdfhk a few. Why?
THey dont mean anything. They’re just for promo’s.
Top schools dont give out hints like that IMO, and in most ppls op.
Chill, be happy, and hope for the best on 3/28
Yea, but people on last years thread were saying how they got all these emails with financial aid and stuff and there seemed to be some correlation w acceptance. Meanwhile, I have gotten 1 email telling me my app was done ??♂️
Nah. It doesnt matter. It may be a coincidence.
Wasnt one of the key concepts in ACT/SAT in statistics that causation doesnt imply correlation (unless directly deduced)?
Chill. It means nothing. I know 2-3 people in Dartmouths class of '22. They all didnt get one afaik.
Calm thyself.
@dkahfdfhk Have you checked your spam folder?
The emails I’ve received are application confirmation, a note that we should wait for our portals to update, senior fellow access office hours, and a request to interview from Feb 12th. Nothing since, and nothing about financial aid. There doesn’t seem to be any hint of acceptance. You’re fine.
You’re probably right. I sent them an email today updating them on one of the things on my app since I started it in November. No response yet ? @TheGuy1
@dkahfdfhk Try the applicant portal and upload a pdf stating the changes. But it might be too late now.
Anything sent before 3/1 is read thoroughly for apps still in the game IMO
I did that for another college that I didnt interview for. Took me 2 hours to write it… a lot of what I wanted to tell Dartmouth was mentioned in my alumni interview. All I had left to say took a bit more than a paragraph @TheGuy1
I got an email from the financial aid office yesterday saying they need another document from me. How do I submit it? It says not to do so on the portal.
@hmunden Depends on what the document is. If you could care to tell me at least by PM, I may help further.
Generally these are conflicting views, but again, depends.
@hmunden I also received an email about a week ago for the same reason, and the woman I spoke with said to submit through IDOC. I believe that’s the standard way to submit FA info
@dreamthief001 Yeah. Parents W-2 is also a recommended thing to be sent anyways for US Citz.
So, you shouldve beforehand.
@TheGuy1 I have no idea what you mean by that. The FA officer was asking for specific details about a certain aspect of my family’s finances, not for W-2 forms, which I sent months ago.
got another detailed FA email yesterday. reading the discussions on here from the past few years makes me get my hopes up, which is the worst possible thing to do rip
@dreamthief001 what do you mean by “detailed?”
FA puts together a package for every candidate. That’s my understanding. They gather all info for everyone. Getting a request for info isn’t a sign. I just don’t want anyone getting their hopes up! Fingers crossed for good news on the 28th for all!
