Well thats alright.

Has anyone checked their financial aid portal for date changes on their submitted information? I know in the ED thread, many people reported seeing changes.
So I combed through 2021, 2022 and 2023 Applicant Discussion groups for Dartmouth to get some data on the entire FA Email, Portal Date Change and its correlation with acceptance. Kindly PM me if you received an FA email in December 2018 or Late Feb/March 2019 or noticed a date change on your Financial Aid portal.
@minniemouse143 Yes I got date changes. I’m an RD applicant
The FA email y’all are talking about usually comes a couple days before release date, so sometime next week
Remember this doesnt correspond to acceptance, as many who get these emails are still rejected (personal experiences). Many who dont get an email get in as well.
I don’t know how to PM @desifirefighter haha but I got date changes and multiple FA emails. RD applicant!
@dreamthief001 I got you on the spreadsheet already! CC isn’t letting me post the link for the drive spreadsheet here, so if you wish to see it type in : tiny [dot] cc [slash] dartmouthFA
@dkahfdfhk as far as i know, the FA office has been sending emails since mid-February
@desifirefighter omg thank you for doing this! will be so interesting to see at the end. I know people say it could mean nothing, but every single person who reported getting the email on last years thread got in ( I’ve checked LOL)
I agree with @dreamthief001
Lets see!
I was reading the 2022 thread and it says that people who got FA emails in February still got rejected. But an FA email a few days before release is a really good sign. I could be wrong but I remember reading that @dreamthief001
I really want this whole admissions cycle to be over. S19 probably applied to too many schools but it was impossible to know that going in. We are very curious about his Dartmouth answer but, as time goes by, I’m starting to question if Dartmouth is the best fit for him. I guess we will see what admissions thinks!
What @dkahfdfhk says is true and makes sense.
I agree with the comment.
Also, if anyone’s comfortable, would y’all mind, for tallying purposes, to PM me/post the FA email here?
I’m just curious.
@theguy1 what FA email?
i don’t think CC permits posting emails on forums, but generally speaking there’s an automated FA email saying “though the committee is still deliberating, blah blah, your application is currently incomplete” (since I had submitted everything on time in January, this email was just telling me what was incomplete was me responding to another, personal FA email listed in the portal as ‘Individual E-Mail Follow Up to Family’) which was not automated and came directly from an employee in the FA office @TheGuy1
@minniemouse143 THe one we’re referring to rn
Oh! THanks for sharing as much as is permitted!
But what email was that direct one if im not too intrusive?
Thanks again!
@TheGuy1 she was asking for me to send more forms through IDOC to provide additional information, asked a few questions about certain lines of income, some other personal questions as well. just a bunch of different questions!
