Thanks for any responses!

Unless you cannot write, or the fates conspire against you, you are in at most of these schools as long as you put adequate time into all your ECs, IMHO (although, like me, you seemed to have joined most after Grade 10, which may be your biggest problem along with the relatively few APs taken--doesn't feel like that, does it?). I hope you sent art examples to the biggies. ECs show definite concentration of interest and your courses seem A-okay. Good SATs make you a strong candidate at the top schools. What is an AP "Rising Scholar"? And does brown consider foreign language a core subject available for recs?

Keep in mind that I am absolutely NOT certified to tell you whether you are going to get in or not. If you do get in, it will be for art/language.

You are very strong for all the top ones (Brown, Dartmouth, Williams) and in at the rest.

Thanks for the advice. "AP Rising Scholar" means I passed three exams. I already sent art slides to Williams, and I plan on sending some to Brown, Dartmouth, and Carleton (I would send slides to all 8 colleges, but slides are fairly expensive to develop).

Ah. I thought that was just "AP Scholar."

Might I inquire as to your medium?

I use pretty much all media-- pencil, acrylics, oil pastels, watercolor, collaging, gouache, charcoal, pen & ink, etc.
