Went out on a limb and brought my c.v. to the interview. Glad it happened!

cchavira: No

all of you: please try to relax. you are a bunch of nice kids and i hope all of you ARE WEARING GREEN in the fall.

Hi all, this is my first post in this thread as I have been way too busy to check CC recently. Looking forward to hearing back whether good or bad, and hopefully getting to meet some of you next year!

Has anybody here applied from the uk ?

I’m from the Northeast.

All I can think about is that email on Thursday! It can’t come any sooner

I actually had trouble sleeping at night… I just need to find out already.

And to think we’ll have to go through this for an entire week… I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep on the release date at all sigh

I think the best thing to do now is just forget I ever applied.

Impossible. I can’t think of anything else but the impending decision date, let alone forget!

I’m from the midwest and I don’t think a lot of kids from my area/state applied to D Early… does geography give some applicants a leg up?

Geography is considered by Dartmouth. The extent to which it is considered is most likely unknown by anyone other than the Admissions Office themselves. But, personally, I would think applying from a region that is more remote, in which less people apply, can only serve to benefit.

I’m applying from East Asia; am I right in assuming there will be tons of applicants from there

For anyone still interviewing, I just found this online: [Form 6](http://www.dartmouth.edu/~interviewers/interviewing/theform6.html). It seems to be the rubric for scoring interviews. I’m a bit upset that I found this after my own, but thought it could be helpful for someone else!

careld, admissions tend to be harder for international applicants, regardless of the amount of people applying, I think.

But, I would think that there are actually not that many applicants applying from East Asia. I’m not sure how well known Dartmouth is internationally.

Dr. Laskaris said that there was an increase in international applicants this year, and East Asia has been increasing in applicants rapidly, so yes, I would imagine there is plenty other applicants from East Asia.

Ooh well, thanks Cirroalex for clarifying. I don’t have much knowledge about applicants from East Asia to be honest :P

I do know that Dartmouth has a pretty high amount of international students though, if that helps

I was sooo close to applying to Dartmouth early…ended up being too scared of the binding commitment, but I’ll be applying regular
Good luck to all of you!

Thanks canadian :)

Just counting down the days now…
