How fast do the results come out that day? Do they release it exactly at their projected hour, or an hour or two behind?

Most likely at 4:00pm +5-10minutes.

I don’t think it’d get much earlier.

It seems as though the decisions are definitely coming out this thursday. I met with my counselor today and he said that he talked to the admissions office and they said that they wouldn’t have decisions made until the middle of this week, but will release them on thursday. he also asked about the decrease in applicants the the admissions office said that it will not effect their decision making (what they are looking for will still be the same)

I heard last year that it was up in just seconds after the projected hour

Your guys’ test scores are all great…You’ll all do great in admissions!

@green17, your counselor sounds amazing. where do you go to high school?

a very competitive private school in the northeast

Guys, when you go to the “banner” system where you can check your application status what do you see? Because in my case I only have the message that I received a few days after I turned in my application saying they have all my materials. Is there anything else that you all got that I didn’t?

No, I don’t think they updated the page yet. Probably will in a few days, after they send us an email with the release date.

Thanks. I’m having my interview tomorrow. How were all of your interviews? What kind of questions did they ask?

I think it went okay, nothing extraordinary. My alum was really chill, so it felt more like a chat than anything to the point that I felt awkward for being too formal at times. He asked just standard questions, like what I did in hs, what I know about D, and of course why Dartmouth.

Interviews tend to be really simple I think. Mine was really basic and questions were rather straightforward. For example, what are some activities you participate in, etc.

I didn’t bring my resume or transcript since he didn’t mention anything, so there was this awkward moment at the beginning where I had to list my GPA, SAT, SAT IIs, and APs for him lol

That is very relieving. So about how many of all us do you think will get accepted ED?

Of the people on CC? Or of the ED pool?

Oh wow. Well luckily for me, my father knows my interviewer and actually talked him into giving me the interview. Since it is his first time I doubt he will ask me for the technicalities and stats.

They aren’t supposed to ask you for stats, so even if it wasn’t your dad’s acquaintance, that shouldn’t be an issue.

I think it’s the norm for them to accept around 460 students for ED, which is around 30% of the total applicants. Though factoring in how I’m unhooked and an international, I’d guess my chances are closer to 10% max (more like 5 maybe).

ED in general.

I am a Mexican citizen who attended all four years of high school the U.S. Is that a disadvantage?
