The email is out! I’m just curious, this is an email sent to everyone regardless of chances right?

Yeah, Kindanerd, I’d assume so. Most decisions supposedly aren’t even made until today or tomorrow.

I’m going to try to convince myself that the only reason why I got the email was because I was accepted hahah

I got it at 10 am sharp also!

Ditto barvoets! I’m basically of no use at school right now. I can’t focus.

Haha, I’m going to get a good night’s sleep now. The way I see it, the less I’m awake the less I worry! What are you guys going to do until the decisions are finally out on Friday?

Guys! Good news. So I searched the internet for statistics on this years applicant pool, and literally every article I found described the record low number of applicants and almost all of those authors indicated that this could only be positive for the applicants themselves. One even said “Good news, high school students. One Ivy League school is much easier to get into this year.” This gives me so much hope!

Ugh!!
Moment of truth is finally announced!!
I really hope they increase their acceptance rate for the poor little ED kids this year…

Me too The recent trend over several years really seems to support this, though. On the link that someone posted earlier, it said that the percentage of ED applicants in the incoming class has increased to up to 43%. That’s pretty good, right?

They accepted 43%??

No, 43% of the incoming class last year had been accepted via early decision.

…and that 43% includes the athletes that were already recruited.
but I still prefer the odds with ED.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh so closeeeee!

Out of curiosity, did everyone get the actual email at 10 am sharp? Or was that just me and jonezi?

I got it at 10 sharp as well

I got mine at 10:01 am haha

All the best to all of you guys! Hope to see you all at Hanover! (RD Hopeful).
And no matter what, you’ll go to a great college, all of you ! :)

Thanks guyinblue! Good luck to you as well.

If people are still nervous, take comfort in the fact that 65% of reported CCers who applied ED to Dartmouth got in.

I am confused. Are decisions not out? I had a friend who told me her niece got accepted today. Is that wrong? What is this 10:00 a.m. e-mail y’all are referring to?
