@BureaCat Besides Columbia, so far I’ve gotten into UVa (forgot that one), UC San Diego, McGill, and UBC (last two are in Canada).
@thetsaria - obviously my jokes are bad. Dartmouth is in the middle of nowhere (not major airports close by), very frat oriented in a very tiny town. It’s dead after 9 pm. The Ski / winter sports is great, though.
@yalebound2020 ah, sorry. I’m awful at detecting sarcasm online.
@TStark2016 - I’ve done that already. I created my logo after EA but I haven’t decided yet. Waiting on the rest of the Ivys, Stanford, Duke, Georgetown, UofCh, ND, Northwestern, JHU and Rice. I was recruited for sports and I took the easy way out at first, then I realized I didn’t need to. Holding out to see what’s in store after 3/31/16. Pol Sci.
@BureaCat @layla2016 @thetsaria I applied to Columbia, Dartmouth, Cornell, Brown, Johns Hopkins, NYU, UCLA, Pepperdine, and UTAustin! I’ve been accepted to UTAustin so far and interviewed with Columbia, Dartmouth, Brown, and Cornell! I really want Dartmouth or Columbia, I’m freaking out waiting for the 31st!
Anyone accepted to UNC Chapel Hill?
@hoggy247 Do you think you would choose Dartmouth or Columbia, if you got into both?
Three things I like about Dartmouth:
- Alumni network
- The D plan
- Parties.
Praying I get in.
@thetsaria idk it’d be such a tough choice… I would really like Dartmouth because of the small town vibe and the close knit campus, but Columbia in NYC would have a lot of opportunities location wise. I loved both of my interviews, but if one school offers me really good financial aid then I’ll go with that school. I think I’m leaning towards Dartmouth right now though so we’ll see
@thetsaria what’s your top choice?
@hoggy247 I don’t even know. I feel so grateful because I got a LL from Columbia, so at this point I’m really only thinking about Ivies + Stanford. I forced myself to not get attached to any one school during the admissions process. I would definitely have to visit to find a new favorite.
I love the idea of living in NYC, but I’ve read the student body culture at Columbia isn’t great, plus it seems super stressful. I don’t know.
@thetsaria I lived in Manhattan for over a year and I absolutely loveeee the city there’s nothing like it! I had a chance to see the campus and it’s absolutely beautiful, but with Columbia comes all the distractions from NYC which is why I’m leaning towards Dartmouth. Congrats on your LL that’s awesome!
@hoggy247 Thanks! Best of luck! Let me know where you end up going!
@thetsaria I’m kicking myself for not applying to Stanford, I think that would be a cool school go to! Good luck to you too!! Hopefully I’ll see you at Dartmouth or Columbia next year
@yalebound2020 Where will I find your stats, thanks and good luck; oh what sport(s)?
- D Plan
- Campus!!!
- Alumni Network
Honestly my first choice and would prob pick over HYPS if i’m lucky enough to get into multiple.
D Plan
Programs abroad
Alumni network
Also, one of my favorite authors is an alumnus, and I have to admit that I’m a tiny bit biased because of it.
Just got a likely letter. Dated 3/11. FREAKING OUT RN
@chocodog where do you live? If you don’t mind my asking
@chocodog Congrats! :3
To anyone who has visited the campus, can you tell me about your experience? I’ve never visited any uni campus (although I will be visiting NEU this week), so I have no idea what campuses are like.
