Looking forward to meeting everyone else about to be a great couple years.
Yay, I got accepted! The first from my region in the world to ever apply and be accepted! So so happy.
I’m definitely sure that you who were denied or deferred are simply incredible, probably so much better than me. Y’all deserve the best and will get it either way, so CONGRATS TO EVERYONE FOR GETTING THIS FAR. Love y’all
@AmazonTeenager Thanks for the FB Friend request.
I was accepted!!! Had a 590 sat math level 2 and 1420 SAT score. This just goes to show that numbers aren’t anything!!! Apply apply apply, you never know what will happen. I thought I had no chance and now I am headed to my first choice school.
For those of you who were accepted (YAY!), did you all check your mail? I received a small envelope with the same online acceptance letter. I was excited, but I was expecting the BIG, GREEN packet! Will we receive it later? Or will only RD accepted students receive it?
Does anyone know if they will rescind me for getting a c in multivariable calculus first semester senior year? Aside from that I have 4 A and 1B
@Littburg17 Were you a recruited athlete or somehow hooked?
I applied through Questbridge so basically low income, first gen, urm. Also aloooot of extracurriculars and community involvement (started non-profit etc). Overall I think they do employ a hollistic review. It’s been 10-15 years since anyone from my High School got into any top private school so I really am just grateful and looking forward to it.
@Swagmoney1 I applied through Questbridge (didn’t get matched) so basically low income, first gen, urm. Also aloot of extra curriculars and community involvement (started a non-profit etc). It seems like it was pretty hollistic and honestly I’m just grateful. It’s been like 10-15 years since anyone from my high school got into a top school other than Berkeley so maybe that helped?
I’ve applied for regular decision. Hope to join you all of you who have been accepted!
Did anybody receive an email stating that they needed to fill out additional financial aid information (verification of assets)? I called them on Tuesday and they said that it was a new thing that they started on Monday. I also saw that the dates of when they received all my financial aid information (it was all in January) change on my portal to 2/20 if that helps. I asked my friends about it, but they didn’t receive the email and their portals did not update (and they too applied for aid). Any thoughts?
Admissions and financial aid operate as two separate functions. Financial aid does not know who has been admitted and gathers information for every candidate in order to package them when they get an admission decision. Unless you have received a likely letter, I would not read anything into this.
@DoctorMD I posted this 10 days before receiving my ED notification: “Did anyone else receive an email from the FA office stating “your application is currently incomplete”? I’m a little worried, as I logged into my account and noticed a new form showed up under the required documents (Before, all my FA forms were checked off as received). Anybody know if this can affect my FA award? I practically “completed” my FA application less than two weeks before the deadline.”
And… I WAS ACCEPTED! I’d definitely take it as a good sign as I know of two other CCers whose FA portal also changed (just like yours) and were also accepted! I don’t know of any '21 whose portal changed and was deferred/rejected.
Now, reading from prior years’ RD threads, MOST students who received an email stating that their FA application was updated just a few weeks prior to the notification date were accepted; the other FEW (very few) were waitlisted (none were rejected).
If I were you, I’d be expecting some good news in four weeks.
Does anyone know when we are supposed to hear back for RD?
