@oscar63 thanks for your insight! Good luck to your daughter as well!
Hi everyone, I’m a '21 at Dartmouth and just wanted to let you all know I’m happy to answer any questions you have now and in the next few months, I know this site helped me sooo much when I was applying to colleges Feel free to reach out anytime!
Would I be at a disadvantage if I applied with only 1 subject test to Dartmouth instead of 2?
No! Dartmouth doesn’t even require Subject Examinations so even if you were to submit none at all, you still wouldn’t be at a disadvantage.
does anyone know when the decisions are being released??
Do all ED applicants have their 1st quarter grades requested?
@Danny3895 Just wondering, where did you see that the day was the 14th?
@absolut1618 I applied for the financial aid. It says the award letter would come out on December 14th, so I am assuming admission decision would also be coming out on that same date.
@BestinBlack Apparently easier. My cousin goes to Dartmouth and is a double major and a minor. he says that having the quarter system allows him to take a bunch of classes and not be restricted to just his major. Basically quarter system = more options for classes. Hope that helps
just got my week off to a great start and hit a deer. hope your weeks are all going better and the rest of our weeks don’t go like this!
meant to put this on the ED thread but here it will stay, lol

I have a feeling we’ll hear back this wednesday (the 13th)! I was looking at the dates from past years and 2013, 2015, and 2016 (didn’t see the 2014 date) were all released the second wednesday of December
@le12345 Thanks for offering your help! I’m really excited about Dartmouth and is getting ready to complete my app. You mentioned you found CC really helpful when you applied last year, could you tell us why? Was it comparing your stats with other applicants to set realistic expectations, completing the Common App, etc? I don’t know who to ask for my peer rec so that’s holding me back a bit. Who did you ask? Could you share the link to your profile in last year’s results forum if you wrote one? Sorry for all the questions.
@doorrealthe same question for you too. Thanks!
This thread is for ED and RD applicants right?
Does anyone know when RD is? Or roughly what time it was last year?
@clvmsy Are you referring to the notification date for RD? Then it’s usually March 30 or 31 around 4 or 5 PM
I posted my results in the Dartmouth 2021 RD results page: http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/dartmouth-college/1977173-official-dartmouth-college-class-of-2021-regular-decision-results-only.html
CC helped me the most by comparing myself to other applicants in results threads. I also got essay editing tips from more senior users.
I asked one of my best friends to write the peer rec for me who happened to get into Dartmouth in the ED round. Let me know if you have other questions
i took december :o
