@saffysmum where was this quoted ?
^like is there a link
Still a possibility that students that accepted their admission at Dartmouth get off the waitlist at another school and decide to go there which opens up a Dartmouth spot. I assume that would only apply to the 631 people (1156 total - 525 ED) that aren’t ED acceptances as the EDs are locked in.
Don’t lose hope yet! The year Dartmouth took no one from the waitlist, 1,210 people enrolled by May 1-- that’s substantially more than this year!
I called the admissions office today and they have not at all ruled out looking at the waiting list, they’re just giving it some time.
@teenagecrime it is quoted in this morning’s edition of The Dartmouth, front page

Oh no…I’m sad:( I will still keep my hope tho…
Someone from my school received a call and was offered a spot on the waitlist. They said that they are accepting spots but they are very few (<4) because of the larger than expected incoming class.
Oh my i want that call please
:o oh wow
Would there be any advantage in calling and talking to my admissions rep to see if there’s anything else that I could do to boost my chances? I don’t want to be that kid, but like I would also still really like to know if there’s anything else I could do at this point. I sent in the update, and nothing super notable, besides a national spanish exam award, has happened between then and now. The wait is killing me, and at this point I just want to know whether or not I need to move on.
@lcs2016 This is so close to my mentality and situation that it’s borderline frightening. Right down to the National Spanish Exam award. I was actually going to call the admissions department itself to get some more information and gauge where they’re at, but I don’t want to be “that guy” and I also recognize that there’s just about nothing more I can do at this point. It’d be nice to just get some kind of definitive answer soon; being in limbo is brutal.
@ptrail33 lol twins, but I’m probably going to call my regional rep tomorrow, and like softly/aggresively ask is there anything I can do or send to increase my chances of being selected off the waitlist
@lcs2016 Do you think that your plan is new? I’ll bet you 100% that DMouth has a standard line to blunt that b/c they hear it every May for the last 50 years. The fact is they already have a good idea how many slots will open up. They’re currently checking those that will best fill those slots. Your call won’t do anything to move the ball, I’m afraid.
so many of my friends have gotten off their top choice waitlists…
@teenagecrime Do you mind sharing names of those colleges?
This is only college that im waitlisted at…I have to get in this is my last hope. B-)
So has anyone received a call ??
I emailed my regional counselor and he stated “Right now, the class is registered as full”.
Can someone please tell me whether they got a call or email…I called the office and they say nothings decided… They dont even tell me whether the class is full…im so anxious
