****Dartmouth College Class of 2021 Regular Decision Thread****

I wonder why then some people have it and some people don’t?

I have 9 documents for some reason

@ooooooolala I’m speculating it’s something with how you uploaded the documents. You know how the FAFSA had the option to link to the IRS directly for tax returns? I’m guessing if you did that, you don’t have a lot of documents showing. If you had to do it manually, you have extra stuff showing? Just a guess.

Yes, but @ezbreezy8022 actually got accepted to JHU and the financial aid changed to 8-9 documents

I got only 2 things on my financial aid checklist :frowning: But I’m international, but now you guys made me anxious that the fact they did not request more is that they don’t want to accept me :frowning:

@nillupa True. Could it be financial aid was processed later though? I know it usually takes like a month to process if you upload it during their “busy” period, so probably like jan/feb.

@MeHowPL Ah don’t be nervous, I don’t think it’s correlated. I think it has to do with how you uploaded your documents. Don’t worry

Is @ezbreezy8022 the only person that was impacted somehow by this. Or is there any other proof?

@steminem4122 ah okay! thank you! phew i can breathe again haha

My D has 12 items in her financial aid application. Is this a good sign?

@mom125fg she might have gotten in

i think it’s more of a coincidence with ezbreezy rather than an indication.

Yeah I really don’t think this is something to read into. I have about 9 documents but I also received a FA notification from UChicago and ended up being waitlisted. I realize different schools probably have different systems but I don’t think this is any real indication of acceptance or rejection. Just 9 more days… Try not to drive yourself crazy with speculation.

Did any of you guys have to submit a Business/Farm supplement? I think FA office asked us to submit it through IDOC.

@nillupa at this point, there is nothing we could do. i am trying not to look into it, and get my hopes up because after all Dartmouth does have a 10 percent acceptance rate. i mostly agree with the person that said that my case was a conincidence, but as always, id like to beileve that’s not the case. but for the most part, just relax, enjoy the rest of senior year, im sure u (and everyone else here) have the potential to get into Dartmouth, so that’s nothing to worry about.

good luck, ezbreezy

I only have 7 FA docs listed…all say “received”. :-/

i have 11, and one of them was added a few weeks ago.

I think that’s a good sign. I don’t see the FA asking for another document if they weren’t considering you for admission.

As for my financial aid checklist, the CSS Profile and FAFSA are listed as having been submitted at the actual point they were sent (January and November, respectively). However, the rest of the items (IDOC, parents’ tax returns, verification forms) are listed as being submitted yesterday, March 20th, when they were actually submitted in January. As far as I remember, the portal used to state that those documents were submitted on the actual dates they were sent. There are ten documents in total, counting the CSS Profile and FAFSA which didn’t change. This probably means absolutely nothing, but I wonder why it might be different from others.

As for how many documents are uploaded for FA… don’t people have different numbers of documents they are required to upload? If somebody has parents with different custody statuses, there will be more documents required to be uploaded (since the custodial and the non-custodial parents both have to upload their own docs)
