Tips for RD applicants?
@johnwayne8321 read the blog, it’ll give you some insight into some of the things they’re looking for.
@johnwayne8321 the best advice I can give is to start as early as you can and try to be authentic throughout your application. If you watch the video of the dean answering RD questions (the link is posted earlier in this forum), it will give you insight on how they make decisions and it put you on the right track in terms of what Dartmouth is looking for. In terms of grades and test scores try to be as competitive as possible. As everyone knows, Dartmouth is very selective in terms of data.

For the supplemental, this blog proved to be really helpful as well. http://www.dartmouth.edu/~dartmouthdirect/2016/11/celebrate-your-voice/
Hope this helps and good luck!
@johnwayn8321 You’ve posted this question on multiple Ivy EA/ED threads. I’m sure the answers you’ll receive are the same.
Yay Dartmouth
Does anyone else wish Dartmouth had posted that Q&A video before the early decision deadline? I would’ve loved to know that Dartmouth isn’t very mindful of applicants with undecided majors. Wouldn’t have tried to force my possible career choice into my supplements otherwise haha

P.S does anyone know how to delete comments? I m on through my phone if that matters.
@SupaSailor I didn’t see that, but I would think that any top liberal arts institution worth its weight would actually welcome the bright but undecided. It would be foolish to take a pass otherwise on free-ranging thinkers who are 17, 18 years old. It can be a sign of maturity, after all, to admit you aren’t remotely sure. But again, didn’t see it and didn’t know that Dartmouth might be trying to carve more space in the current pre-professional climate.
@johnwayne8321 Best advice i can give is be knowledgable about the school, because if you make that come across in your interview as well as your supplemental, than the college realizes that they aren’t just another box you checked on the common app.
thank you @Erikj28 @jkennyy @dartagnaneb ! Good luck to all!
It should be from everybody although if they’re asking this late then I’m assuming it means you made it past the first round of readings.
Is it just me or is this decision the only thing thats been on your mind? Dartmouth has been my number one choice since maybe March, and since I visited in June, I fell in love with it even more.
Hi guys, I’m a recruited rower for Dartmouth. I just wanna know what time ED decisions will be released on Wednesday, December 14.
@biggreenrower 4pm
thank you !
When/If we all get in I recommend maybe starting a Facebook group/chat. Build the hype and connections with my buddies for hopefully the next 4 years.
@SupaSailor yessssssssssssssssssssss [though there are previous year’s videos, the new essays were addressed very well by the new Dean of Admissions]
@BGMuleri You’re invited, if accepted, to a private FB group by Dartmouth admissions
Anyone else wanna hibernate for 5 days?
@chickendogs123 the thing that kills me is that our decisions are already decided but we don’t know
Do you think we’ll get an email from Dartmouth in the beginning of next week about status updates?
