Dartmouth ED Class of 2020

@dinolove I know the feeling. I’ve handed off information duty to my boyfriend, now he has to tell everyone when I find out and whether I got rejected. If I get accepted ofc I will be the one telling everyone haha

I’ve pretty much avoided telling anyone where I’m applying unless they ask me directly. Just makes it more stressful if everyone knows.

Dartmouth is well-respected among businesses and other academic institutions. True it doesn’t have the same presence in American conversation as Harvard, but the quality of education you’ll receive and the connections you’ll make are unbeatable.

I’m sure Admissions is working their hardest to get the decisions our to all of us. Don’t worry - we’ll know soon enough

Someone from my school already got into Harvard so I doubt if I got in it’ll make a splash. But I really hope I get in, all my close friends have been praying and rooting for me. Thankful for the support network in RL and on this board!

So at least some Harvey Mudd results came out on Friday, a full 5 days before they were supposed to. Just saying…

My school has been doing badly so far in the ED round, no acceptances to Brown, Cornell, Penn, Columbia or Harvard. I don’t think anyone has gotten into a top school yet. That doesn’t bode very well for me…

It’s unlikely that Dartmouth will do something like “SURPRISE! The results are _ days early!”
Unless it wants to give all the applicants a mini heart attack, that is. @enzowolf10

@Raamael shout out from the other side of the border, back in India!

So scared. I work 4-7 on Wednesday and I’m in Texas (CT) so they come out at 3. I can’t really read it before work, because if I get accepted or I don’t I won’t be able to focus at all… any other Texans?? Represent right?

I’m Hispanic too! Like you guys, I didn’t even see more than like 2 Hispanic people.

@coolestnerdever I think knowing that decisions are out and having to refrain from checking will keep you from focusing as well, haha. Probably more so than if you just know.

I don’t get my result until 9 p.m. so I’ll spend the whole day dreading it. I have an important chem test the next day and I won’t be able to focus on some last-minute revision at all!

At this point I have completely cleared my schedule for that evening. If I don’t get in I won’t want to be around anyone, and if I do I’ll just make new plans

I’m gonna be studying for my AP Bio final with my friends :(( Hopefully I’ll just kind of forget about it until I get home bc I don’t want to be around anyone either

I have a hockey game on Wednesday at 3:45, so I’ll be standing outside of the locker room during an intermission when I check the applicant portal! I’ve already asked my close friends and parents to meet me there so I’m not alone when I hear from Dartmouth.

I forgot hockey is a thing up north hahaha nobody plays hockey down here

@dartacceptme haha samee. I don’t know anybody that does either

Hi everyone — do you think that using Score Choice for the SAT II Subject Tests will hurt my chances of getting accepted? I know Dartmouth permits the use of Score Choice, although they strongly encourage applicants to send all scores. As a prospective Econ major, I submitted my US History (790) and Math II (780) scores but withheld Biology (640). Thanks!

@HeirInsurgent I don’t think so at all. I think they suggest sending all scores, but I don’t its a very strong suggestion. If you don’t send some scores, I think it’s perfectly acceptable.

@simonbolivar Alright, that makes me feel better.
