Well, nothing happened with my financial aid. Another imminent rejection! Yay! So sick of this. So emotionally taxing–it’s not even worth it. It’s truly awful what these elite schools do to people. Why did I pay $85 for my application to be glossed over and thrown in the trash? Really should consider giving partial refunds. Stealing our money.
I understand your frustration, but you should have been aware of the acceptance rates when you applied. So far, I have been rejected to every Ivy I have applied to, although accepted by UCLA and Berkeley. It really has nothing to do with you being unworthy or incapable, but more about how few transfers these schools admit. Keep that in mind.
Totally agree @Gdawg30… Not getting into my dream school Brown was truly crushing. Congratulations on your Hopkins acceptance, though! I lost hope for all the other elite schools I applied to. It’ll be a small miracle if I get into Dartmouth haha. Next semester I’m aiming for top state schools like Wisconsin, Maryland, and U Washington. I’m not too afraid of that honestly since those acceptance rates are close to 50%.
Watch Dartmouth be like “Sorry guys due to a record high yield we will not be accepting any transfers lol! Sorry for stringing you guys along for no reason!!! lol xoxo”…That situation would warrant a refund and probably a consolatory hug on behalf of Admissions
