But i guess I will will get rejected too…2050 on SAT1 is a curse:(

@Sunny
Its always a pleasure
And yes, we do welcome everyone :D

@Dart
Thanks for being a good sport. Also, I’ve looked at the RD decision thread for 2016, I have found mostly Americans rather than any other nationality (expected), but haven’t found many Africans or Europeans for example. As the admissions process is a holistic process and they look at the context of your schooling & grades, looking at what many of the US students have for acceptance and rejection doesn’t provide an accurate representation for me to “chance” myself by looking at the thread.
But yes, it does provide some stats that can help.

Princeton is probably my no#1 decision… but MIT, and the VIPER program at UPenn are very closely on the same level, with CalTech, Duke and Dartmouth as 2nd places (for me).

@Quiver
2050 is still good, hopefully that project you did with Enzen will help you not get wait listed but accepted But still good luck. On the bright side, you strike me as the sort of person who would do brilliantly anywhere!

@Everyone
Since Dart hasn’t introduced himself -_-
He is from Belgium apparently another European, and he has already been accepted to Dartmouth for 2017.

Oh yes, and my no. 1 choice is MIT,followed by Stanford…both to continue my research and then DARTMOUTH:)

@Quiver
It is quite cool how a lot of us are applying to the same universities (not surprising… just cool). For all we know we might end up meeting at MIT, Stanford, Dartmouth… where ever we end up :)

Haha…lol I know this cannot be surprising. In fact all my friends are applying to the same places (cept DARTMOUTH …lol) So I took special care to mention that there was no funding/help around here in India for research and my experiences are testimony to it…and that is why I wanted to go the world’s BEST research univ.(and slightly for prestige too;))

@Quiver
Yea… the prestige is only a tiny bonus hey? ;)

A lllliiiitttttlllleeee…;)

Haha I really do hope we all get into our first choices! As each day passes I get more excited and nervous about the results! I really hate waiting for them!

@Quiver --You’ll get accepted bro!
If not at Dartmouth, at some place equally good or better!! :D

Dartmouth & Princeton are the only two places where my “neediness” won’t affect me. But Princeton is out of the question and Dartmouth is a distant hope!

@goingtodart - Where are you from?? What’s your prospective major/field of interest??

And well beggars can’t be choosers so whichever college accepts me with most aid - I’m going there!!
Though it would be BRILLIANT & OUT OF THIS WORLD, if I get accepted to Dartmouth!! :)

@Rishav
Dart is from Belgium (spoke to him over PM) - no idea of his prospective major.

Right now I kinda feel that way - even though I’m not even going for aid But you seem to be a good applicant for Dartmouth. Hopefully they see your value! :)

I’m from Belgium , already got in to Dart under ED.
Right now , it’s economics and psychology/brain sciences :D

@goingtodart - Ah! Quite a contrast, economics & brain sciences!!
Congratulations btw!! :D

@Raith - Haha!! Hopefully. Plus I sent them an arts supplement(Pton being the other one - who received it) , so truth be told - I put most effort into Dartmouth & Pton!! :)

Approximately 57 days to D-day!! “YAWN”…

@Rishav
I am starting to think that I should maybe submit the arts supplement (even if it is extremely late) for my guitar… S***! I didn’t even get the option through Common App (which they said you were supposed to) :S I’ll see if I can get decent sound quality for my guitar…

@Raith - Call up Dartmouth & ask them if you can submit one yet. I’m sure they’d be willing to review it, but there’s no point wasting time and money on an Intn’l courier!! :D

And there was NO option on the commonapp which said anything about an arts supplement!!
Instead I searched their website for list of requirements and to my surprise saw that they encouraged applicants to submit an arts supplement irrespective of their major!! :)

Too bad that it was too late for me to do the same for Columbia & UPenn(which is rather cryptic about this)!!

Im submitting my peer-eval today:)

@Rishav
I will send them an email, maybe they might accept a video post on the internet? I remember reading somewhere that they do, but we would have to be careful about short links that get deleted like a month or so afterwards…

@Quiver
You haven’t submitted your peer eval yet?! maybe I still have a chance then (not at acceptance… at sending in the arts supplement) haha

I guess you better send them an email on Monday, as there won’t be anyone to respond on the weekends. In the meanwhile, if you’re not busy - try recording something!!

And here’s the link to the arts supp info page -
[Art Supplement & Additional Material](<a href=“Apply to Dartmouth | Dartmouth Admissions”>Apply to Dartmouth | Dartmouth Admissions)

They have specific requirements over there!! :)

I heard that we had to submit one yesterday…so I got a good friend to write it for me today, and I think he’ll email it today itself:)
Such a nice buddy:)

@Raith
Deadline was January 1 to submit the Art Supplement
But it doesn’t hurt to ask :)
