@Raith … I wanna join your swim class too. I like the water, but I just can’t swim … I think I like football more though.

It seems like i’m the only one who didn’t do the sciences. They were a bit of a bore for me, physics more so than chemistry. The closest thing I did was human and Social Biology and I loved it (especially because there were no labs).

I really hope some of us end up at the same university. It would be comforting to be acquainted with at least one person when you arrive on campus.

@catchsnitch - Welcome!!
Harry potter reference in your name??

@Po/Raith - I actually like angry coaches. I mean, they make you feel bad about yourself and then make you work harder to prove yourself. Though I’ve never had a nice, calm coach - so wouldn’t know!

1763 posts, 2200 maybe now??

@caribgurl - I thought everyone in the Caribbean could swim??? Haha!! Just kidding… :p

Football is better than any other sport out there. :)

@Catchsnitch
Very happy welcome!
Nice choice of unis, and good to see another engineering student on here (even if it means more competition) xP
Hope you enjoy the last 9 days of waiting for decisions with us… do go mad and do anything too drastic! haha

@Rishav
I don’t like angry coaches… maybe one that insults you every now and again so you do push a little harder… but they have to praise you if you do well (and when I say praise I don’t mean turn off the angry) haha

I don’t know about 2200 posts… but we definitely can try :D

welcome, Catchsnitch :)

something tells me this thread can easily reach a 2000 in a week or two.

@rew - I doubt we’ll have too many posts after the decisions come out! So we have 9 days & 14 hours to get at least 233 posts!

P.S. If I keep posting uselessly like this… We can reach any number!! Haha!! :p

[Who Posted? - College Confidential](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/misc.php?do=whoposted&t=1450966)

Raith has 523 posts on this thread! Which means that he has 128 posts else where!! And I’m now 2nd on the list!! :p

Hi everyone!

Country: China
Hobbies/ECs: soccer, movies and novels, and I love spending time in the lab!
Intended major: biology/ neuroscience/ psychology

I also applied to a bunch of LACs-Williams, Amherst, Middlebury, Colby, Bryn Mawr, Mount Holyoke etc. b/c I need substantial financial aid and LAC tends to be more generous on that part. But I don’t think it would become a problem for Dartmouth since it’s need-blind to intl’ students. XD

@Rishav
Yes… senseless and pointless posting really can get us to any number of posts… but we don’t want to be trolling now do we? :P

Still far in the lead :P

Welcome Young!!
You are our 2nd person from China
We seem to have a few people interested in neuroscience and psychology.
What sort of things do you enjoy doing in the lab?

@youny626
I applied to Williams :)

Anyone apply to Duke?? I got a likely letter from them :D

@Lemming
I applied to Duke, no LL for me thoguh What did your LL say?

@MRU93Raith

How did you find out my first name? I deliberately changed the last letter. :P

I can’t wait to meet the 1st person!

Well, I am just really intrigued by the human brain, their thoughts and their behaviors they reflected. Probablely because I read and watch too many science fiction/movies. :D

Mostly conducting biological (molecular) experiment such as PCR for targeted genes, extracting DNA etc…kind of boring, compared to chemical experiment which you can pour all these liquid together and see imediate changes, but it still excites me when I get my results~ O(∩_∩)O

@lemming101

Did you get a likely letter from Williams? Nothing new on me.
I delete Duke from my list because it doesn’t give much finaids to intl’ student.
I get a feeling that I would probablely get rejected by Williams because I wrote a horrible supplement essay (the ‘looking through the window’) and my stats aren’t really high enough.

Williams in my dream school. I think I am just gonna cry in the corner. :(

Duke is the only place I’ve heard from. I don’t expect anything from Williams, as my supplement essay was shocking also!

The letter was just more early acceptance than likely letter, so it was pretty exciting…
My Duke application was the best supplement I wrote though, guess it paid off

@rishav17 - yeah, that’s right just couldn’t resist :P

@Young
I actually didn’t… misread the “y” to be a “g” xP And it seemed right :P

It will be great meeting everyone if we all get the the same places hey :)

Wow, very interesting I like how the mind works… but I don’t know how I feel about the lack of complete certainty :P

@Lemming
Like me with Steven’s (though their’s was rolling decisions from their 3 deadlines). Congrats on the early acceptance/likely letter :)

I don’t even remember my Duke supplement… I wish I wrote better cause my essays are most probably my weakest part of my applications Maybe Dartmouth will help since they didn’t have any supplement requiring an essay :P

I loved the Williams supplement! Probably one of my best. I did like princeton’s though: “how’d you spend your last two summers?”

What was the Williams supplement?

Unfortunately my summers (taking the big holidays) are actually my winters so I just had some kite surfing, swimming and relaxing… I generally haven’t done much during my holidays :/

I had a tough time with the summer essay - mainly because, I didn’t do anything interesting at all!! :/

Last summer - I went for extra classes throughout and played football/did some volunteer work in my spare time.
The summer before that - I spent the most part in shifting from one city to another. Then different school interviews & applications. So again - nothing interesting.

But I did manage to write a LOT!! Haha!! :p

@lemming - Congratulations!! Duke is very good!! :)

@young - Welcome!! :D
