@Raith
I am realizing I live in the wrong country. People need 6 months to get their license in Germany. And that’s nice of them to give you the answers and questions. :D

@PO and lemming
Good luck :)

@POmani probably like midnight where I live. Duke decisions are then as well :)

Thanks Sunny! Now spending my time on Omegle chatting to Indians and Pakistanis about their shared history. Any of you guys from India have any particularly strong views on the period 1900-47?

Anyone else dreaming about admissions decisions now…?

@dbtocollege… yepp, but so far they’ve all been nightmares

@lemming
Same!! Had an awful one last night where I thought I got into Brown but turned out to be a waitlist :O

Williams usually releases admission decisions at 8PM… At least that was time they released RD decisions last year and ED decisions this year. But if the website says late afternoon, 8 PM looks very unlogical haha.

You need to be 18 in India at the time of giving the driver’s license test. You can get a learner’s license before that, but you can’t drive without a person with a DL in the car with you.
And learner’s license remains valid for a very short period of time. So I can get a license only when I turn 18.

@Sunny - 6 months is awfully long!!
@Raith - Here in India, there are two ways of getting the license. Through an agent or by yourself. If its through an agent, you pay the guy a broker fee - he sets you up for all the tests and stuff and guides you through the process.
If you go individually - you are made to run around in circles and failed because of trivial mistakes just so that you pay the test fee again and again!! :p

@guyinblue - Not that rich man. :p

@dbtocollege - They start out as dreams and end as nightmares. :/

8pm EST is like midnight here so I guess I was right!!

@Blue
In Mauritius you’d probably need at least Mauritian Rs1000

@Lemming
Good luck for Williams… I am going to be fixated on Duke’s decision… really hoping for an acceptance

@Sunny
6 months?! Even if you went into a nearby small town? I think you have to drive with your learner’s for a while before you can go or your drivers…

@PO
Haha Omegle xP nice! :P

@dbtocollege
I had a dream about Princeton a couple weeks back… was a kinda bad dream Didn’t receive any package from the uni… had my old boarding mates in my house (which for me is like h**l )… My room was the lounge (with the tv and everything)… everything just seemed to go wrong! haha xP

I’ve run into a little hiccup now kinda good, but also bad… while trying to really convince myself that Stevens is a great place for me to go… I have found out how much I could learn going there (think multiple majors and the masters degree in the 4 years there)… I almost think I’ll choose them over a couple other universities… problem is I’d be really happy to go to Princeton, Duke or Dartmouth…

nightmares speak much to me ;)

@Raith
Lool I had a dream about Princeton too! It carried on from my Brown dream - I opened the package and there were so many letters and presents that I thought I had got in but then I looked at the packaging again and it was actually from Princeton Review not Princeton haha! What a dream…

My dream was about Carleton, I received a package that I am accepted.
The next day I got a rejection. Therefore, dreams do NOT come true.

@Raith
There is no difference between towns. We all have to take 14 theory lessons. The lessons are often held twice a week. So you need 7 weeks for theory. There are 12 driving lessons you have to take but normally you need more about 20-25. Then you have to wait until you are permitted to take the test and … so yea 6 months is the average :D

Im a heavy sleeper…no dreams ever for me…actually Im more of a day-dreamer anyways:P

@quiver: Haha it’s the same for me! Though of late I’m sure I’ve dreamt I’ll be accepted at the 6th, 12th and 18th colleges in order of admissions notification (6th–>came true!)

Daydreaming, what a lovely thing. I remember how often I missed my tram station because I thought about anything except of getting out of the tram :D

@dbtocollege
Haha… Princeton review is what keeps me alive and yet it always just falls short whenever I really need it to pull through for me xP Maybe not that bad, but you get the idea :P

@Sunny
Oh wow… lots of beurocracy… for us you don’t even have to take lessons, but if you do it makes things a lot easier (especially since they teach you the tricks to make it easier).

@Quiver
I don’t day dream much… I do as part of nodding in and out of sleep… but not just freely. A friend of mine is notorious for it though! -_- haha

@Keya
wow… good luck for the 12th and 18th then what was the 6th… and what are the 12th and 18th?

rishav - Lol neither am I :p

Raith - Steven’s is a great place. PayScale ranks it HIGHLY. And honestly, the deal theyre offering you is so damn sweet! :o
But, dont think about all this until Ivy Day. Let it all become clear, then decide. :)

@Blue
Pay scale isn’t all that is important though (very tempting though)
Thanks, been my coping mechanism for the possibility of future disappointment (considering I never thought I would actually go there xP)

I look forward to seeing everyone on here on Ivy Day (and hopefully everyone stays on for at the very least a few days afterwards)
