Dartmouth RD 2025

My DS just received an email for an interview. He’s so excited and nervous. Any advice for him other than…comb his hair, dress well, research the interviewer and be prepared?

I loved my interview (i really got along with the interviewer) and I would recommend you just tell him to be authentic and say what he thinks. I know that sounds stupid but cookie-cutter responses are pointless because you’ll walk away from the interview leaving no distinct mark and you might feel uneasy about the whole process with that college.

Hi all! I am new to this thread. I needed some help and would really appreciate yall helping out.
I am trying to find Dartmouth’s non-filer tax form for student (for the academic year 2021-22)
Can someone leave the link? Thank you so much

Good luck all!!!

@silentccreader Try this…Supplemental Forms | Financial Aid. It doesn’t look like they have anything posted for 2021-2022 student non-filer forms yet. The only other thing I found on their site was Data To Be Verified | Financial Aid. Maybe reach out to the financial aid office and ask them to email the form? My DS did his as part of the CSS Profile as I recall.

Hi thank you so much, I’ll do that!!

Hello!! I just got offered an interview, does anyone know if this means anything??

Thanks!

I think they just try to give them to anyone with an interviewer in their area. Don’t know if it means anything.

I’ll preface my statement by saying I’m no expert, but I don’t think an interview (or lack thereof) means much of anything for your chances of being accepted or rejected from Dartmouth. I had an interview myself sometime in the last couple weeks, and it didn’t appear from the interviewer’s general demeanor, questions asked, etc. that the College was leaning one way or the other on me. Of course, this comes with the caveats that it’s still quite early in the process and that the College likely can’t share too much with the interviewer due to applicant privacy concerns, but other institutions seem to operate in a similar way in regard to these things.

Dartmouth reached out to my daughter’s HS counselor reminding her to send my daughter’s mid-year report. Is this normal procedure?

Just got the same thing, I think it could just be normal procedure

My DS had his interview today - I’m so glad it’s over…lol…he has been so stressed out about it because he wanted to make a really good impression on the alum he was speaking with. The interview lasted an hour! Seems that the alum had the same major my DS is hoping to go into so they had lots to talk about. He may get in or he may not but at least this experience was a good one for him.

Any likely letters yet??

Nope but I don’t even expect one lmao

What would a likely letter look like?

A few days ago I got an email from Dartmouth about submitting financial aid materials even though I already submitted everything. Anyone else got it?

My son’s “interview” was with a current student who basically wanted to see if he had any questions about the school and told him to email her if he needs anything.

Very different than every other school he has had an alumni. Does Dartmouth routinely use students??

February 17th last year, one of the ivies sent DS a likely letter. (Email came a few days earlier) Basically saying his application was impressive, that they welcome him to the class of 2024.
