<p>I applied Dartmouth RD 2018 as well!</p>
<p>My DS applied. We are Canadian and I (his mom) am a registered status indian (aboriginal) and yes DS self identified. As long as legacies are considered, I have no issue with self-identifying. DS’ average is 96%. 2220 SAT; 780 Math 2 and 750 BIO (retaking on Saturday). He applied to HYPMD as well as 5 Canadian Universities.</p>

<p>Hey everyone! I applied to Dartmouth. I’ve heard mixed reviews on what it is like there, but from what I see with the quarter-based schedule, that allows for more internships and study abroad opportunities, which I think is awesome!
However, I am a little concerned about what student life is like there. I don’t know much about Greek life and frats/sororities, but I don’t think I would fit into those very well, and I’ve heard one of Dartmouth’s main social hubs is in those organizations. If you are a student at Dartmouth, can you please tell me what you think of campus life? Can everyone fit in and have a blast? And if you are in a frat/sorority can you tell me what it’s like? Dartmouth seems like a wonderful college with the resources it can offer but I want to make sure that I can have a joyful experience and find my niche if I am admitted…</p>

<p>@elmofrench: If you read through past threads on this site, you will find many opinions about the influence of Greek life on the Dartmouth experience. I don’t think this thread should be sidetracked into rehashing those “conversations.” Searching by my username (pro-Dartmouth) and/or DartAlum (anti-Greek but whether that equates to anti-Dartmouth is his call, not mine) and/or MagnumPI (pro-Dartmouth) should lead you to them. I doubt that there is a relevant thread where one or the other of us has not posted an opinion. (Apologies to anyone I’ve overlooked, but I wanted to keep this simple.) </p>
