Dartmouth vs Air Force, ... help! (football related)

^I think it can be translated as “I am spam.” BTW, poor spam (the food) gets an undeserved bad reputation in my book.

My apologies to the Colonel…this just in…

“Congratulations on choosing to sign with Dartmouth University. As I told you over the phone, this does not preclude you from taking an interview for the Air Force Academy. The Academy interview is necessary if you wish to be considered for an appointment to attend the Academy.”

GOD BLESS THE US AIR FORCE.

it was a tough call, Colonel, but in the end, you have to go with your gut.

regards.

Just remind the Colonel that it’s Dartmouth COLLEGE…

Once again…congrats! Go Big Green Football!

Mini Van, please realize the Air Force Academy is a highly respected university…

We have very good friends whose son plays lacrosse. He had several several offers and chose to attend Navy. It is incredibly hard work and he faces a long term commitment following college, but his schooling will not cost his family one dime and he is playing incredibly competitive lacrosse. This kid knew what he wanted and it wasn’t Dartmouth or Cornell. This is why there is solid competition on the field. Everyone has a different gut feeling and more importantly, allowed to have it based on the values of the good old USA.

raimius,
Please don’t take offense at my lighthearted comment. (meant to be lighthearted). With a close relative who graduated from the USAFA, did several tours as a pilot in Vietnam, and retired as a Colonel, I have great respect for the Air Force and the Academy. No harm intended…just a lame attempt at humor!

No problem. I didn’t get the humor in your post.
