I believe you wholeheartedly.

What dominates hook-ups or relationships?
It seems as though there’s a fair balance. However, most of the guys with girlfriends I know at Villanova did not meet their significant other on campus.

What’s the atmosphere of Villanova?
Homey, comfortable, yet you still have that pressure to succeed and better yourself. It’s a nice balance of both.

Is it considered prestigious?
Prestigious? I suppose. It’s not an all-star school like UPenn, but it is very respectable. Mention that you go to Villanova to most people in the Philadelphia area and they’ll be impressed. I’d the second best school in the region, only behind UPenn. The academics are solid and you’ll certainly learn a thing or two if you pay attention in class and the teachers are fair graders. I study more than the average student and I managed to get a 4.0 my first semester. I am in my second semester and expecting to get a 3.7-3.87. Some classes are harder than others… depends on the teacher (as it does anywhere else).

Can you not drink and be social?
Yes. More so than most schools I’d say. The people here are, for the most part, out-going and willing to step off campus and go explore Philadelphia (which is only 20 minutes away).Drinking was a big deal at my previous school, the University of Maryland, but its pretty chill at Villanova. Though you should know that people are going to drink no matter where you go- that’s just college life.

Greek life: to join or not to join?
Compared to schools like Cornell, Villanova has a very week fraternity system. Sure, joining a frat will score you place to party but most of the frat houses are as far as 20minutes from campus. Not to mention the police are known to breakup parties pretty quickly.

How many Southerners end up at Villanova?
A decent amount. Certainly not an astounding number. To be honest, I think I know more people from the west than the south.

are you in the business school?

Everyone covered everything basically.

But,
I would probably join a fraternity if you wanted to party a lot because guys get shafted after freshman year.

And Nova’s prestigious in the Philadelphia area. But it’s not really known anywhere else. I live in NY and no one really knows where even is.

where in NY do you live that no one heard of Villanova? A cave in the hills of the Adirondacks?

Upstate NY. Some people have heard of it but don’t really know where it is.

Nice place. Been there, lived there and still visit. Most anyone knows 'Nova, even if just for hoops. As far as if it matters? Not unless you work for prison, State/County gov or a University are you likely to work in upstate NY. Down state it has a fine academic rep.
