drinking

hey ive heard mixed things about drinking on campus. I read that there isnt much, but ive heard that there's a ton. I havent talked to any current students or visited campus. anybody have some insight?

im friends with a current student who's in a sorority and she said drinking is all over the place, however ive heard that there is also a good portion of the student body that doesnt drink or party so if youre not into that you will easily be able to make friends and find other things to do

theres tons- but they aren't the wild in the open parties of a more liberal school

According to my freshman engineering son who does not drink, there is something for everybody. There is drinking going on, but maybe not as extreme as at other schools. He's made many friends who choose not to drink and they have no problem finding fun things to do on weekends, on campus or off. The city is so accessible on commuter rail, if one can't find something to do on campus, they can always go into Phila. or take a Villanova shuttle to King of Prussia where they have a huge mall and multi cinema complex. The activities committee is pretty good with providing activities on weekends for the kids. He's very happy there socially and academically.
