Hi- My daughter just got accepted to UA. It’s one of her top schools. We are out of state (have to fly)and want to come down for a visit. I’m trying to avoid her missing school. Is just a regular tour fine on a Saturday or is it worth going to the University day. Thank you so much in advance.
same situation, looking forward to hearing some advice…
If your student was admitted to the Honors College, you can contact them to make arrangements if you can’t attend University Days.
Schedule a visit with the HC: https://honors.ua.edu/schedule-a-visit/
I’m not sure University Days existed when my son was a senior in high school, but he was invited to Capstone Scholars Day, which he couldn’t attend. We visited at the end of spring break, just as UA students were returning from their spring break and had the HC make all the arrangements. The more detail you give them, the better they can tailor your student’s day to his or her interests. We had a fabulous visit!
