Daughter applied ED, then got award. Would you contact school to let them know?

My daughter is waiting to hear from her ED college. Last night, she was named MVP of her very large and successful HS swim team, and found out she’s also conference All-Star. It’s a pretty big deal to her, but is it important enough to a college that she should contact the school and let them know? I believe she’d have to call the admissions office, as there’s no spot on the portal just to upload supplemental info.

I want her to put herself in the best possible light, but nothing that might be interpreted as annoying by the admissions office.

Yes.

Agree.

Surely this exactly the kind of thing you would email to the rep.

Now why didn’t I think of email? Sheesh. Thanks

She needs to do the emailing, of course:-)

Oh, of course. I’m not THAT helicopter-y. Just wanted to make sure contacting the admissions office about sports awards wasn’t a stupid thing to do!

A short email to admissions officer is definitely in order. If she is being recruited for swimming she might also want to let the swim coach know.
