Daughter settled in dorm... (sniffle)

Well, the day I've always dreaded AND dreamed of has arrived... My daughter is firmly ensconced in Dorman and I'm crying daily. I'm so happy for her and this is a great move, but I miss her so much. I'm sure most of you understand.

I am thankful that her roommate is an awesome young lady (must have great parents) from Wesley Chapel which is actually near us in our new home in Mira Bay.

We just moved down from Seattle and within a few weeks got a new home, settled son in high school and said goodbye to our sweet baby.

I have to say that I am thankful on a daily basis that she didn't choose to attend UNC Chapel Hill!!!!! That distance I just couldn't live with. We'll get to see her tons and that is awesome.

We stayed at the Doubletree downtown which was really cheap ($50/night on Priceline), but we found roaches which was awfully disappointing. Good thing we spent the majority of our time on campus from Wed to Sun. Saw the Marching Chiefs practice and cried like a baby. I don't know why I have that reaction to them, but I love them dearly and could watch them for hours.

So, nothing new on campus to report except the new stand alone Starbucks is open, but a little iffy with order still - they need some practice :0)

I certainly understand. ;)

My reaction was unexpected, but I sure missed my daughters. I figured my wife would have a greater reaction but she was more ok than me.

I like Chiefs, too. They are great.

Try the Comfort Suites on Apalachee Parkway. I've never seen a bug and I've stayed there many times.
