David Madden (P'03): the next Ken Jennings?

David Madden (born June 13, 1981) is currently a sixteen-time undefeated champion on the television game show Jeopardy! as of the episode that aired September 13th, 2005. Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek has remarked that David consistently achieves runaway games (where one person's score is more than twice that of the second-place contestant at the end of the Double Jeopardy! round). His current winnings now total $378,700. He has already beaten Tom Walsh's milestones of consecutive wins and all-time earnings, further displacing Walsh from second to third in all-time standings for those two categories..

In addition to his 'runaway' record, his play features strategic wagers, only one miss on a Daily Double in fourteen games, and the selection of higher valued clues when approaching a category, likely 'fishing' for the Daily Doubles.

He is a graduate of Princeton University, originally from Ridgewood, New Jersey, and currently lives in Berlin, Germany where he is a graduate student pursuing his master's degree in International relations.

He completed an International Baccalaureate diploma at Seoul Foreign School, and achieved honors at both Brigham Young and the University of Washington.
