Davis Honors Challenge 2010-2011

Who else got an e-mail inviting them to apply for the program?

Judging from my e-mail, it seems like those who get into the program have to take a couple of additional mini-course and do a project of some sort. They talk about ‘practical experience’ and ‘service learning opportunities in the community,’ however I am still unclear as to what the program actually entails.

My question is this - are there any incentives to this program, apart from it looking good on your transcript? And who else got this e-mail?

i got the invitation but they didnt rly clearly state the incentives. i guess they want us to apply only if we’re rly interested in going for the “challenging stuff”.
but i know DHC students get priority in registering for classes

If you’re interested in a challenge…like an Honors/AP class in high school. The largest incentive is priority registration.

I like the priority registration thing a lot. Did a lot of people get the email? I was looking at the mini essays they want and thought, “Why not?”

Well its good to know I am going to school with a lot of overachievers, proof again that UC Davis isn’t for slackers.
