I checked my davis email and this was the only “new thing” in it, and I was just curious…is this an actual Honors thing? or is everyone invited to participate?

Oh and for any Davis students here, what is the program like? Is it really more rigorous in comparison to just…“regular” Davis?

DHC is open to anyone that applies. The program just consists of taking a few extra classes freshmen year (which are worthless imo). ISHP is the invite only honors program which also consists of taking a few worthless extra classes. ISHP joins DHC the second year tho. Basically, the only benefit of taking the programs are something to put on a resume and priority registration (doesn't really help tho).

If you do not join now when it's "free to join" you can still join in your sophomore year by doing an application during your freshman year. The application is competitive, but it is about 50% acceptance. To stay in the program, you must maintain a 3.2+ cumulative GPA. You also have to take a buttload of extra classes. The main advantage is the computer lab, free printing, barely any wait, but that's mainly an advantage when you're a second year and live off campus, or don't bring your laptop to school for wireless printing.

you also get priority registration

I think everyone gets this invitation, because everyone I know who is going there got one (an e-mail). They have very average scores too.

so all in all its not really that worth it to join?
