im a junior in high school, and im narrowing down my choices for colleges. so far on my list are ut, texas a&m,baylor, rice, stanford, and usc.i'm in the top 10% of my class (11/298) my question is, should i leave the state and attend another school? or should i stay, and try for a school i have a better chance of getting into? my major in college would be biology, and i have aspirations of medical or veterinary school.

your choice of in state or out of state. Apply to as many as you like and make that decision when the acceptance letters roll in.
You have automatic admission to A&M being in top 4%. Why not go where you have a good chance at Vet School?
you would also have automatic admission to ut as well.
as far as private schools, I assume you would be well received by them as well. I know Baylor would grab you in a heartbeat. I would say you have your choice - put thoes applications in and see who comes up with the best scholarship money for you.
Visit each campus and see what feels like a good fit. Very important.
you are in a nice spot - keep your grades high and take the SAT/ACT as many times as you can to get the best scores - important for scholarship and getting the major of your choice.
