De Anza CC'ers

Isn’t precalc just one quarter of precalc: College Algebra and another of precalc: Trig essentially? Some schools do it differently but this is what I thought if anyone took the precalc sequence at DA.

If anyone wants to join a club that is extremely laid back (Doesnt take up much of your time but does a lot. Maybe 4 hours per month), and have a really nice-sounding officer position, PM me. I am the president and our club is amazing. :)

@ wooyoung: Stats is easy. Calc is a *****.
@ investment: What kind of club is it?

When do clubs start? I’m kinda lost… like you know how in high school we usually meet during lunch. Well, how does De Anza’s clubs meet and stuff?

@gotta-i didnt shut it down per say, but really. you werent going to get chanced. just being honest! and yeah thats a bummer i took apush, and when they told me it didnt count…i was rawr. but they do take the english ap score to satisfy an english writing class so…its kinda weird.
@woo-do you only have classes on tues/thurs??? omgoosshhh i could never go for that long! trooper. and stats…well i hate it. but im also TERRIBBLLEE at math and i have to go to the math help center like everyday…heehee. but im sure its easier than calc…

Alright PMs responded to! Once again, I have a club on campus that is literally giving away officer positions to people who can help out for just 3-4 hours per month. There are 2 vacancies and all officer positions are important sounding (nothing like secretary or webmaster). The reason I am recruiting is because 3 of our officers last year transferred to Berkeley/USC.

@redoplease
Eh, it’s not that bad XD I have a ~3 hour gap in between my other classes and the last class, so I can do homework and study. I’m only there until that late on Tuesdays and Thursdays, though. The other three classes are only 50 minutes everyday so it’s not too bad~
Do most UCs/Privates accept stats instead of calc? I was pretty good at math until precalc so I’m kind of not too excited about taking calc :/

alll of the UCs atleast accept stats dude!
and i looveee 50 min classes so much :] and yeah, gaps reeallyy arent that bad. im the most productive during them!

another de anza thread jesus. KAGS ftw!

Anyone know exactly how many quarters’ worth of your cumulative GPA colleges take into account when decided whether you are accepted or not? I know we need to send them grade updates in January but that only covers up to your second fall quarter. What the following winter and spring quarters? I mean, logically speaking, colleges start notifying us from March till end of April which doesn’t really give them time to check out our winter quarter grades so are those grades taken into account when decided whether we get admitted or not? Thanks in advance!
