Hi,
Has anyone on here successfully transferred from De Anza College to UC Berkely? Or any other UC school? I want to transfer, and I could use some help.
Thanks, Ritvik
Since you are asking about this particular community college my guess is that you are a student there. There are people on campus that are very knowledgeable about transfers to the UC system and are happy to help. They are in the transfer office. May be a good idea to go talk to one of them
https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/california-community-college-enrollments-uc says that 193 De Anza students transferred to UCB, out of 938 who transferred to all UCs, for fall 2017.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’m not actually at De Anza yet, we’re still evaluating options. I posted here to get some suggestions before I actually leave for college.
Thank you for the data source.
If you can choose between community colleges, consider how complete each one is for course coverage for your intended major at various UCs and CSUs, as listed at http://www.assist.org .
De Anza has a big presence at Berkeley.
DeAnza has a high transfer rate compared to let’s say EVC. However, because DeAnza has so many students, you may have to stay a third year. I went to DA and transferred to UCD this past fall. I know someone who transferred to UCB this past Fall as well. It’s doable. See a counselor, keep up your grades, etc.
