I am applying RD to Penn State-UP, but I haven't submitted my application yet. I know it said it's advised to submit it before Nov 30 (which I will), but it seems that everyone on this site applied months ago, which is worrying me. What's the deal? am I too late or are you all just early birds?

Rolling admissions - you have a better chance of getting in the earlier you apply. PSU fills the slots with good candidates as they find them so the later you apply the fewer slots there are to fill.
Plus the "early birds" will know (most of them) whether or not they got in a lot sooner than you will.

Id apply as early as possible as I dont really know how the admissions is going this year since we had such a big (and I do mean BIG) freshman class this year.

There was a chat line last night and the admissions guy said that as long as it's in by Nov. 31st, you're in good shape. They JUST started reviewing applications and it seems like only the super-qualified Schreyers types, transfer applicants, and people applying to campuses other than UP have heard so far. Just get it in as soon as you can and don't worry.

Also, someone else said,
""Insider" sources at UP tell me that the only folks hearing now are at the very top of the applicant pool and those who are clearly below par. They are so early in the selection process, that the far far majority of accepted studets won't hear anything for a while."

I had everything in by November 2nd with no so great stats. Will they automatically reject me, or hold my application for a longer period of time (perhaps until Feb/March)?

Like everyone else on here, I'm just guessing, but I would think that if you're not a particularly strong applicant, but are somewhere within PSU's mid 50% range for main campus, that they might wait and see before making a decision. Good luck.
