Dean J - Legacies and First-Generation students

Dean J,
My uncle is a UVA grad at both the undergrad and graduate level...does this count as having a legacy? How can I point this out to the admissions board?
Also, does being a first-generation college student help? My sister just graduated in May as the first of our family, so am I still even considered a first-generation grad?
Another question is regarding Question 6 of the transfer application. Is there anything specific the board looks for in this question, such as reasons for poor academic success (which I don't really have), or can I use this to give the board a personal look into my life? Can I use it to address something that has affected my life that has motivated me in college?
Thanks for your help

For a quicker response, it may help to call the admissions office

Thanks for replying to this, sv3a.

This forum isn't a direct line to the UVA Office of Admission. As I've written before, I stop by now and then to check in. If you want to speak to an admission officer or ask questions about the process, call us at 434-982-3200 or email undergradadmission@virginia.edu. If you're nervous about calling or emailing, post a comment on the Application Process Blog.

Thank you for understanding that I can't answer these "call out" threads.

i made a dumb comment so this is my edit
