OK, so I'm currently a Junior who is in-state and would love to go to UVa. Now I know that SAT II's are not required and all but I have not taken my SAT yet (I'm taking it in June) and I'm not sure if I will have enough time to take SAT II's. Is this going to hurt me a lot? Has anyone been accepted to UVA without taking these tests (users on this forum?) I'm an International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate and I have 8 IB tests I will take (as well as 2 AP's) so can't those be used for placement as well?

Dean J has said before that taking the SAT IIs can only help you. I don’t think it’s going to hurt you, they just won’t have that information to add to your app. And if you have 8 IB tests, then that’s something at least. Hope it all works out for you :)

Yeah I don’t know I just figured those 8 IB tests and two AP’s are enough, lol.

A girl from my class got in without taking SAT II’s. You should be fine.
