<p>What is the criteria for making dean's list and does it vary by college? I read somewhere that it was 3.25 but as of September 2010 it was going up to 3.5 but maybe I misunderstood something. 3.5 seems very high.</p>
<p>I don’t know the gpas- I don’t actually read any of those emails. I do think it is different for each college though. Well, maybe not different, but at least they are handled by each college separately. I’m pretty sure my email was from CAS, not the university, and I think my boyfriend in computer science got his letter way earlier than me or something.</p>
<p>And 3.5 isn’t that high considering Dean’s list is supposed to be something of importance. Honors requirement is 3.4, cum laude is 3.25, magna cum laude is 3.5, and suma cum laude is 3.75. By the way, these four are all the same for all colleges.</p>
