Hey Everyone! I just got my letter that I am a finalist. I am so effin excited! This COULD NOT have come at a better time! So, I wanted to create a little thread so people could discuss. I'm curious to know who else on CC got one! Also, could someone who knows a little bit more about this than I please englighten me as to how many people become finalists, and how many of those go on to win scholarships? Also, maybe someone from previous years who went on the weekend could tell us what we should expect. Congrats to everyone who got it!

Congratulations!

...this is upsetting! I thought there would be more people who have found out by now! Anyways, thanks Cressmom! This is probably the most amazing day of my life. I would definitely go to WashU if I won one of these scholarships!!!! But I probably have like no chance. It's actually kinda surreal because I didn't even think I was getting in to WashU in the first place. This goes to show that EVERYBODY should apply to scholarships, because you never know!

A question for other acceptees once they arrive:
Should I be worried that my letter says "Congratulations again on being selected as one of the finalists..." I have never gotten any other contact about this, so why congrats AGAIN? Please tell me if any of you guys received some other contact other than the letter!

Call Wash U. and ask THEM these questions. It is normal and acceptable to want more information and clarification. Once you have answers, you can post them here to help others.

Note - there are VERY few finalists, so receiving no comments on college confidential doesn't mean much.

I got a letter! I got a letter! I am so happy rite now. I am just as clueless as you guys are. Please someone who knows help us!
Congrats to all!

SOOOOOOOOO JEALOUS!!!!

p.s. congrats!!

IDK about the exact number, but i know that there are about 50 finalists for the Annika scholarship. Congrats on making the cut!

I am in the processing of applying for this scholarship. However I am uncertain what the “academic goals” is exactly. What are they asking for? Thanks for the help.

ask them about any questions you have. half the game is showing interest.
