Please get rid of the "Last Updated: [insert arbitrary date here]" feature on prospective applicants' pages. It causes unnecessary stress, worrying, and obsessive-compulsive behavior in high school seniors who have already had enough of that for the past four years. I can't think of one instance in which it actually served of some use beyond the self-doubt and questioning from people who hadn't gotten their pages updated since whatever month of the year, etc. Even though the admissions process is obviously over, please take that into account next year when you think up new ways to torture applicants. Also, please consider a one-time notifying type email that many, many colleges have adopted and use. How simple would that be? People wouldn't have to log in constantly, only to see to no avail that the date still hasn't changed. It would eliminate the ridiculous speculation that some people come up with on this website, and allow for others to enjoy their lives while they still can. Think of how much time you would save for the "omigod h'omgidd 2300+ sat scores wut do i doooo can i get into USC?? chance me plzzzzz" types of people, or even the "USC: PRESTIGIOUS OR NOT, SHOULD I GO" types of people. This would allow people to utilize their more time effectively in other more meaningful endeavors, including but not limited to: getting a life.

more like insults hidden cleverly to anxious applicants.

HAHAHA
"obsessive-compulsive behavior in high school seniors " i like that line =D

Great letter. mine looks like this...

Dear USC,

go fu** yourself.

DON'T FLAME ME. I just want to say this it makes me feel better!

Mine would read:

Dear USC,

I hate the fact that I still love you.

hahahah i love your letter cheerchick012!!

slx, I like how you think and express yourself. Great second post. Welcome to CC :D

Well, imagine those applicants who are still waiting for their Stanford email decisions when they were expected last Friday afternoon. A lag of a couple or few hours is probably normal but there are many who are STILL in limbo, not knowing one way the other, whether the email was deleted as spam, or whether the email just hasn't been sent yet. Stanford does not post decisions on line, nor do they send hard copy rejections by mail.

Yes, USC's status updates are not particularly clear or regular, but at least one knows to expect something in the mail ....not to say that the waiting in this last wave isn't stressful and hard as is.

I really hope lots of acceptances are still to come, best of luck in the next couple of days!

dear usc...accept me k thx bai
