okay, so basically, my school's speech and debate team was suspended this year. I am currently a sophomore, and last year when i joined speech and debate ( i do policy), i feel in love with it.
Debate is definitely something i love to do, and i want to excel in it.

This year our team was suspended because someone signed a form that they shouldn't have. The club had also been having problems with the administration for a while, and this year they finally got fed up with it.

So now the club is back. However, it is pretty much a dictatorship.
The new regulations and rules we have to abide by are completely ridiculous!

The person who signed that form is also in my grade. Her dad is a pe teacher at our school, and has now taken over the club. The club's advisers are all completely unqualified. And basically the club is SCREWED.

So, as a result, i am running for president to make a difference. However, the person who signed the form & who's dad is in charge is choosing the officers.
So, there is a huge conflict of interest.

What should i do?
I really want to stick out to him and the panel of judges (the other 2 advisers and the principal) that i am a better candidate than the pe teacher's daughter. I have also been more involved in debate this year than anyone else at our school since the club was suspended. I taught the incoming freshman and organized tournaments to go to unaffiliated with the school.
The choosing process is a paper application, and from that interviews with a panel of judges.

The administration wants more control of the club, so it makes complete sense for them to want the daughter to win since her dad can oversee everything she is doing.

So basically, any advice?
i really want to make a difference and impact everyone in the club. I know it sounds cheesy, but it is true.

Thanks in advance!
