<p>A good grasp of English vocabulary--and common sense--is required to do well on the Etymology section, which bugged me quite a bit.</p>
<p>Reading comprehension was very bothersome, and there was a lot of it.
Imagine the Critical Reading section on the SAT I, except that the passage is in Latin...</p>
<p>Still, the examination is very straightforward, and you should walk in confident.</p>
<p>Be careful with haphazard guessing--each incorrect answer on a four choice question will cost you 1/3 of a point as opposed to 1/4.</p>
<p>This isn't an exam you can really study for. Hope you have extremely strong foundations in Latin grammar.</p>
<p>I received a 780 (92nd percentile), much to my disappointment.
For colleges, I'd say anything above a 700 is sweet,
but this is Latin--standards are much higher.</p>
