Does anyone have a conclusive answer about the y=1/2 being a function of x?

Also, is the curve usually 43 or 44? :O

for the question about Sin^2(a/b) + sin^2(something) + sin^2(something) was it 1.284 because you convert the cos^2 to sin^2 with the 1-sin^2 = cos^2 rule right ?

I omitted 3 and think that I got 2 wrong, what are the odds of an 800?

Pretty sure it is II and III for the function question because III with the 1/2 passes the vertical line test

@franco221 if those are the only ones you got wrong/skipped, then your realistic chances are probably at around 60% I’d say, depending on the curve this year

@franco221 I think that’s an 800 because that’s a raw score of 45 and a 43 or above is usually an 800

For the polar question, was the answer (E)?

@upsilon@iii123 thanks for replying
@MelzidEril yes I think it was E

if the answer E was “(2,3pi/2)” than yes

@Math84:
Yeah, that rings a bell because there was no point on the negative y-axis.

What was the answer to the question about the cards? Was it 35?

@Math84 I think it was 34

what do you think the curve is this time for an 800

I hope the curve is 43. if it is, i’ll get a 760-770 with a raw score of 40.

4 missed, 5 omitted. if everything stays the way it is and I don’t miss anymore (I really don’t think i did/will), is my estimate right?

@SpaceDuck if everything goes that way, you would get a 770

@franco thank goodness, I feel confident about the test as a whole.

There was one that I erased, and the answer you guys are saying was the one I erased…so I’m hoping I didn’t erase too hard now, but if so then it’s fine because I didn’t mark another answer choice, so it would count as an omit.

I’m estimating a 780-790 for me then…do you think it’s worth retaking in Jan or should i call it good?

@franco I’m pretty sure the answer was 35 because there’s 15 choices after the 35 card, + 9 from the numbers below the 10, so 15 + 9 possibilities = 24. Since there are 50 cards, and 2 are picked already, 48/2 = 24 choices for a 1/2 probability

@franco @igneous i think it was 34 because if you have the original 50 and you subtract the 2 that are picked, you have 48. take half of that and with the 24 you add it to the 10 to get 34

@ice, if you get 780-790…don’t retake. It’s pointless, colleges will treat a 780-790-800 as the same result, as it’s a difference between 1-2 questions.

If you get lower than a 700 (I have before, not saying that you will though), then yeah go ahead and retake it, room for improvement.

In short: Don’t waste your time chasing after a perfect score when you can work on other areas of college admissions.
