Well, I don’t know what you were smoking back then, but I went to college a lot longer than 10 years ago and I can tell you, UF was considered the better school a lot more than 10 years ago. I knew kids from my high school who got into FSU but did not get into UF and that was a lot longer than 10 years ago.

And Gainesville Green was indeed, pretty good stuff ;)

Maybe by UF students? :)

I got in! :D

^^ Atacom,
I have a graduate degree from the mid-80’s. And I didn’t smoke pot - not for lack of trying; but it made me paranoid and no one wants to hang out with you if you think the DEA is lurking in the shadows. lol

UF in the late 70’s and early 80’s was the Agriculture school, there wasn’t even much of a business program at the time; if at all. If you wanted to major in business, you went to FSU, if you wanted to grow pot, you went to UF. I went to UM, with good friends who attended both, FSU was stronger - I don’t have a horse in the race, so without bias; I can say that was the perception at the time.

Yes, I graduated from undergrad in 1977 and med school in 1980. And no I wasn’t smoking…then or now. And UF was the party/pot smoking ag school for undergrad. I didn’t go there, and none of my friends went there. We considered it for grad/med school but not undergrad. I went to a LAC for less than I would have had to pay for a state U for undergrad, but did not even apply to UF.

That’s how I remember UF too, it was a party school. What really surprised me, was just how open they were about smoking pot on campus, near the union, in broad daylight…
