I talked to my guidance today, and in order for me to get accepted into Biomed, I need to bring my GPA up pretty high. I was wondering where the list of dec classes are? I didn't bring my book with me, 2nd year. Could anyone be kind enough to link me?

Nevermind, forget the previous question, I found the DEC classes, my question is how realistic is it to go from a 1.8 to a 3.2 in order to take Biomed?

Depends on how many credits you’ve already taken. You say second year, so I’m going to assume 30 credits.

30 credits x 1.8 GPA = 54 quality points

If you want a 3.2 overall, and let’s say you’re taking 30 credits this year, then you’ll need:

60 credits x 3.2 GPA = 192 quality points, so you’d need to make up 138 quality points over those 30 credits, or a 4.6 GPA. Your BEST case scenario – 30 credits and a 4.0 – would put you at a 2.9 overall.

Again, it’s quick math and I don’t know the specifics of your situation, but I’d say a 3.2 overall GPA at the end of this year looks pretty tough.

k, well thanks, but I need to take a lot of dec classes. I talked to my guidance today and I am taking 4 classes right now. He said I’ll need a 3.5 in order to bring my GPA up to a 2 to avoid suspension. Is this true?
